Welcome to My CureSearch Challenge Page
Thanks for visiting my CureSearch Challenge page!
I am participating in a true challenge – raising funds for children’s cancer research. With your help, I can surpass my fundraising goal!
The money I raise will support CureSearch for Children's Cancer, a national non-profit foundation whose mission is to fund and support targeted and innovative children's cancer research, with measurable results. I do this in memory of my son, Aaron.
Aaron was tenatious, adventurous, and loved life to the fullest. Whenever the road gets long and I want to give up I think of him and all he endured and I keep on going for him. I live my life as fully as possibly...to honor him and the life he was unable to live.
Aaron died January 30, 2013, at age 3, after a two year battle with Neuroblastoma. My husband, Mike, and I will both be participating in CureSearch sponsered events to help honor Aaron and all the other children and families effected by pediatric cancer. We are passionate about CureSearch and all it has done, and continues to do, to fight childhood cancer.
I will be running the Gary Bjorklund half marathon in June and the Twin Cities Marathon this October. Mike will be hiking 25 miles of the Superior Hiking trail in one day as part of the CureSearch Ultimate Hike. We hope to, one day, see a world where no child dies of cancer and those children who do undergo treatment have less adverse effects from treatment.
Please help us with our mission by making a tax-deductible donation. Thank you for helping us to tell childhood cancer to TAKE A HIKE!
