Continue the Fight
Last year I undertook a challenge to push my body further physically than I had before while raising awareness and funding for childhood cancer. Little did I know the life alerting impact the most amazing and sweetest little girl would have on my life. Thanks to wonderful support I was able to raise over $3,000 for childhood cancer research. On August 11th, I will be running the Tough Mudder 4x in one day again while raising money and awareness for childhood cancer again.
I have set a goal of $10,000 this year. You don’t set a goal because it’s easy to reach. You set a goal which forces you to work hard to obtain it, causes you to give things up in order to break it. It has to be a challenge, has to be tough to reach because what we’re dealing with here isn’t easy. We're literally talking life and death. $10,000 isn’t the ultimate goal. Never having to tell a parent their child has cancer is the goal. No more wish days is the goal. Forever defeating cancer, that is the goal!
I hope you will join with me as we unite behind the common goal of defeating this monster called cancer. Thank you for all your support.
A few facts about childhood cancer:

- -Over 250,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year (that's about 700 new cases a day)
- -One in five children diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. will not survive
- -Only 4% of the National Cancer Insititute's budget goes toward childhood cancer research
