Welcome to My Superheroes Unite! Page
Our daughter, Anne Elizabeth, was 12 when she died of leukemia (ALL) in 2005.
Many of you know that since 2011, I have collected contributions for the annual CureSearch Walk for Children’s Cancer Research, in memory of Anne. Your contributions continue to be appreciated, and so I am writing again.
Two years ago, with your help, I surpassed my goal of $1,000. By doing that, we raised the odds that many more of the 40,000+ U.S. children with cancer would have a chance. I know firsthand how difficult it is for parents to continue to hope their child will win the battle. You will be supporting the research that, each year, gives more children a chance to live healthier and longer lives.
I now use a walking stick for balance, and so in 2015 and 2016, I was one of the last walkers to finish. This year I will ride my Terra Trike. Please donate, if you are able. It will make a difference.
More information about CureSearch and childhood cancer can be found at curesearch.org.
Thank you for your help.
