Molly's Magic

Molly Kathryn Kohl fought courageously against acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and battled countless complications from a stem cell transplant. After an 18 month fight, Molly earned her angel wings on July 25, 2011-just 3 weeks before her 11th birthday.

Molly was absolutely the most upbeat, positive, friendly girl anyone could meet. With her sparkling blue eyes and beautiful smile, Molly lit up every room she entered. She had a wonderful, silly sense of humor and emanated positive energy everywhere she went. She was an A student, with a lightning-quick mind. She played soccer and basketball and looked forward to being a cheerleader at St. Emily School, where she started as a 3 year old and would have entered 6th grade. Molly loved to sing and dance, turn cartwheels and go swimming, do art projects, bake cookies and play on the computer. She enjoyed chicken-a-la-king, quesadillas, strawberries and Sour Patch Kids. Her favorite animals were dogs and penguins and her favorite color was yellow.

Most of all Molly was sweet-so very, very sweet. She was a kind, gentle and caring girl. She was a truly wonderful, unforgettable little angel. The world is a better place because Molly was in it. Her spirit lives on and will forever be in the hearts and souls of her loving family and countless friends. We will never stop loving Molly and we will never stop missing her. She will always be our "Dolly", our "Sunshine".

Please join us as we walk in memory of sweet Molly. Molly would have celebrated her 18th birthday birthday on August 17th.  This is our 9th walk in honor of her, and our 3rd walk with CureSearch. We felt it was time to really focus on pediatric cancer research as it is critically overlooked in the amount of funding that it receives.

Our previous team name with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was Marching for Molly. Molly had always hoped to start a new team name-Molly's Magic, with the hope that she would have beaten her fight against leukemia and the many severe complications that she faced after her transplant. We hope you can join us on Sunday, September 16, 2018 to walk in memory of Molly and to support pediatric cancer research! Registration starts at 9:00 a.m. and the walk begins at 10:30 a.m. If you can't make our walk, please consider making a donation to CureSearch. Any amount is appreciated! Thank you!!!
