Welcome to My Ultimate Hike Page
Hi! My name is Eva Bozeman and I am participating in my 5th ultimate hike! I have been a nurse at children's healthcare of Atlanta for 11 years. During that time I have had the privilege of taking care of patients and families enduring childhood cancer. Many patients that my coworkers and I take care of in the ICU unfortunately do not live past their prognosis. This is due to multiple reasons, but a culprit is underfunded research for treatments that cure cancer without harmful side effects. This is why I hike, because these kids deserve a chance to live full, healthy lives. Their parents deserve to watch them grow up.
You can help me! I am the coach for the Atlanta ultimate hikers this year - come do training hikes with us, get involved! If hiking isn't your thing, a monetary donation would help team CHOA reach our fundraising goal! Also please feel free to pass this along to anyone who may be interested! Thank you for your support - hiking 28.3 miles in one day is no easy feat, but compared to kids fighting cancer, it's just a walk in the woods.
The money I raise will support CureSearch for Children's Cancer, a national non-profit foundation whose mission is to fund and support targeted and innovative children's cancer research, with measurable results. In addition, they are the authoritative source for information resources about children's cancer for families and their support systems.
Five of the 43 children diagnosed every day do not survive. Please, support me as I help change the odds for those children most at risk.
Thank you for helping me tell children's cancer to take a hike!
