Welcome to My Ultimate Hike Page
This October I'll be hiking in memory of a little guy who was taken away from his loved ones painfully suddenly. My friends Jigar and Zeal lost their baby boy Abir to Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). At only a year old he was diagnosed with AML, a rare pediatric cancer which manifests very aggressively in the form of sepsis caused by underlying lack of healthy white blood cells to fight off infection. Abir passed away due to sepsis and consequent heart attack.
Young patients like Abir have very few treatment options today, often with devastating side effects. Five of the 43 children diagnosed with cancer every day do not survive. Please, support me in helping change the odds for those children most at risk, so no children have to grow up in hospitals, and no parents have to say goodbye to their little ones. Join me on the ultimate hike, donate to the fundraiser, or simply read about AML and help spread the word.
The money I raise will support CureSearch for Children's Cancer, a national non-profit foundation with a mission to fund and support targeted and innovative children's cancer research, with measurable results.
Thank you for helping me tell children's cancer to take a hike!
