Please Support Our Efforts to End Childhood Cancer
Hi everyone, I'm back in my boots and reaching out to ask that you support our incredibly important cause.
Regardless of quarantine, pandemic, political unrest, and general upheaval, pediatric cancers have not taken a break. The rate of diagnosis has not slackened - an average of 43 children a day are told they have life altering and deadly diseases - and an estimated 5 out of those 43 will not survive.
Five too many children will not survive.
These five, and the rest whose lives may forever be altered by the brutality of the adult-sized cancer treatments, are the reason I hike. They're the reason I ask you to extend yourself, either physically or monetarily, to assist in this battle for advanced treatments and cures.
The struggle these children and their families endure is far greater than the 28 miles we intend to hike in their honor and memory. I and my teammates are dedicated to raising as many funds as possible to aid the accelerated research and clinical trials it will take to get specialized treatment to children, as quickly as possible.
Every dollar counts. If you feel you can spare five dollars, or even one, your contribution is appreciated. Every volunteer counts. If you feel inspired to join us in fundraising and taking on the challenge of the Ultimate Hike, we welcome you with open arms.
Thank you for helping me work towards telling children's cancer to Take A Hike!
