Cancer, take a hike!
Hello! I am participating in a true ultimate challenge - hiking to raise funds for children's cancer research and treatment.
43 children are diagnosed with cancer every day; 5 of them do not survive. Many of the young survivors will face additional health issues because the treatments they receive are designed for adults.
The hike is a one-day, 25.5 miles trek along the Superior Hiking Trail. Although the longest hike I have done to date is about 12 miles, I have no doubt that I can do this hike. And with your help, I can meet and even surpass my fundraising goal!
The money I raise will support CureSearch for Children's Cancer, a national non-profit foundation whose mission is to fund and support targeted and innovative children's cancer research, with measurable results. In addition, they are the authoritative source for information resources about children's cancer for families and their support systems
Please join me as I help change the odds for those children most at risk by making a donation and make a difference in the lives of these children and their families.
