Welcome to My Ultimate Hike Page
Thanks for visiting my Ultimate Hike page!
For those of you who know me - you know this cause is near and dear to my heart. I've dedicated my career to these children fighting for their lives. Hiking 22+ miles is nothing compared to the distance these children have to hike in their journey fighting cancer. My one day of pushing and challenging myself is not comparable to the months of torture, fatigue and obstacles that each child fighting cancer faces.
I am participating in a true ultimate challenge - hiking to raise awareness for children's cancer. CureSearch is one of the major national organizations that helps us fight this devastating disease - helping to support research allowing us to make progress in curing these children. I don't ask you to support me today - I've committed to paying it forward - BUT, I do ask you to think of your children, think of their health and think of those parents sitting through that most horrible moments when they are told their child has cancer. Now, think of how you would feel if the doctors could tell you "we have treatments to cure this disease....we can save your child". How wonderful would it be to be able to hear those words? This is what CureSearch does - helps find cures. So I ask my friends and family, if you feel pulled to support all mothers and fathers fighting for the lives of their children, this is an opportunity to support that cause. Please consider making donation and making a difference in the lives of the 43 children diagnosed with cancer each day.
The money I raise will support CureSearch for Children's Cancer, a national non-profit foundation whose mission is to fund and support targeted and innovative children's cancer research, with measurable results. In addition, they are the authoritative source for information resources about children's cancer for families and their support systems.
Five of the 43 children diagnosed every day do not survive. Please, support me as I help change the odds for those children most at risk.
Thank you for helping me work tell children's cancer to take a hike!
