Welcome to my Ultimate Hike Page!
Cancer sucks. We all know it.
At my friend Rebecca Harvard's 50th birthday we were all gathered for a day of celebrating her life. During that day of celebration and reflection an idea took hold that we wanted to do something worthwhile with our new decade. One in our midst had heard of this hiking effort to raise money for research for pediatric cancer research and had actually participated previously. Since Elizabeth, Rebecca's cousin, was diagnosed with pediatric brain cancer located in her brain stem at about that same time it seemed like the perfect fit to do something meaningful. This hike was initially scheduled for April 2020, well you know what happened then...so here we are again trying to get our bodies in shape to hike for miles and miles to beat this cancer that keeps trying to beat us!!! Please consider donating to CureSearch.
Children with cancer need our help now more than ever, so this November I'll be lacing up and hiking 23.6 miles all in one day to raise critical funds to support CureSearch's cutting-edge research programs. I'm training hard so I can take care of the miles, but I need your help raising funds. If you're able, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to help tell childhood cancer to take a hike. Every dollar helps!
Cancer is the leading cause of disease death in children in this country with 45 kids diagnosed each day. Of those who survive, 2 out of 3 will develop at least one chronic health condition due to the toxic treatments they receive. Our kids deserve better, and CureSearch is leading the way to change the odds and deliver new, better childhood cancer treatments.
Thank you for your support!
