Hiking for a cause!
As many of you know, over the last year I have picked up hiking. I've been fortunate to travel around Texas and Canada to some awesome hiking sites like Big Bend, Palo Duro, and Banff, not to mention several state parks and local hiking paths.
When my kids were younger we would hike Enchanted Rock and Lost Maples, great family memories.
But now, it's time to give back and hike for those, especially children, that cannot.
I am participating in a true ultimae challenge - hiking 22 miles in a single day to raise funds for children's cancer.
Please, consider making a donation and make a difference in the lives of the 43 children diagnosed with cancer each day.
The money I raise will support CureSearch for Children's Cancer, a national non-profit foundation whose mission is to fund and support targeted and innovative children's cancer research, with measurable results. In addition, they are the authoritative source for information resources about children's cancer for families and their support systems.
Five of the 43 children diagnosed every day do not survive. Please, support me as I help change the odds for those children most at risk.
Thank you for helping me work tell children's cancer to take a hike!
