Welcome to Jane's Ultimate Hike Page
Thanks for visiting my Ultimate Hike page!
Cancer touches so many of our lives. It could be a family member, a friend, a coworker, or a person in our community. But imagine if it was a child you know. It is unimaginable to most, but there are kids out there fighting for their lives right now. My connection to cancer is my brother in law, Robert. Although he lost his battle with brain cancer 10 years ago, I will continue to fight for research and support for those battling cancer today.
In past years, I have participated in many brain tumor walks, and one year even went to the Hill to ask my congressmen in Washington to provide funding for cancer research. That year the STAR Act was passed, which was the most comprehensive childhood cancer legislation to ever be taken up by Congress.
This year I am participating in a new challenge, one that will challenge not only myself, but my friends and family to tell cancer to take a hike! On April 25th I will be participating in a one-day 28 mile hike to raise money for CureSearch. The money I raise will support CureSearch for Children's Cancer, a national non-profit foundation whose mission is to fund and support targeted and innovative children's cancer research, with measurable results.
Please help me tell cancer to take a hike!
