Make a Difference!
Hello Friends and Family, As many of you know, our family works each year to raise funds to fight children's cancer. We joined the fight when Jack's best friend Beau was diagnosed with cancer in 6th grade. We joined the fight against cancer and unfortunately learned a whole lot about it.
Here are the facts:
- Pediatric cancer research is incredibly underfunded at only 4% of the federal funding.
- 43 kids are going to get that unlucky news today - and every day - until something changes.
- Only 3 pediatric cancer drugs have been approved in the past 20 years (hard to believe, but it's true).
- We're fighting for those kids and also the kids who haven't yet been diagnosed.
It doesn't matter if you know a child battling cancer or not. We learned that the first-hand when Beau was diagnosed. It was inconceivable that such a healthy kid could find out that he had cancer. The time to make a difference is before someone you know and love finds themselves in that fight. You can make a difference, not only for the children who are fighting this beast right now, but also for the kids who are going to be fighting it in the weeks, months, or years ahead.
Please, consider a donation and make a difference in the lives of the 43 children who will be diagnosed with cancer today or tomorrow. Or even better, make a donation and come join us as we walk on The Plaza at Tysons Corner Center on October 20th. You will not regret taking part in this great event.
Our heartfelt thanks for your generosity! Love, the Franchi Family
