Some of you knew Kaitlyn , experienced her sense of humor, her wit, her love for--- everything. She was a daredevil. One minute she was a tomboy and the next she was a girlie-girl and fit each of those rolls to a tee! If we ever had time together I would tell you the story of her bungie jumping when she was 5yrs. old or show you pictures of her with pitch fork in hand "cleaning up" from the horses after a riding lesson.
When Kaitlyn was 7yrs old she was diagnosed with DIPG, a rare brain tumor. Kaitlyn attended the Inaugeral Tampa Bay CureSearcch Walk. At the age of 8 Kaitlyn lost her battle on October 31, 2011.
As Kaitlyn's family and friends we join together for the 9th Tampa Bay Curesearch Walk, not only to honor Kaitlyn, but to keep her memory alive while raising funds for pediatric cancer so that someday every child diagnosed with cancer will be promised a full and healthy life.
I am super excited to participate in this year's event to raise funds for children's cancer and with your help, I can surpass my fundraising goal! Please, make a donation and make a difference in the lives of the 43 children diagnosed with cancer each day.
The Superheroes Unite! event honors and celebrates children whose lives have been affected by children's cancer. The money I raise will support CureSearch for Children's Cancer, a non-profit foundation whose mission is to fund and support targeted and innovative children's cancer research.
Every year, more than 40,000 children in the US undergo cancer treatment. Please, support me as I participate in this event, and help change the odds for those children most at risk.
