Welcome to My CureSearch Walk Page
It is that time of year when we are approaching the CureSearch Walk for all the Superheroes!! I will be walking in remembrance of Taylor Grace, our Superhero, our angel! Please support getting the word out to share the need for childhood cancer research and donate if you can! Thank you!
My great niece, Taylor Grace, was born 12/13/2011 and the world became a brighter place the moment she took her first breath. She was the most vivacious, beautiful little girl and she brought smiles to everyone she met. In the summer of 2013, Taylor was diagnosed with AML Leukemia at just 18 months old. The following months brought many challenges as we watched Taylor fight this disease with the most tenacious spirit I have ever seen. In November 2013, she had won that battle and was cancer free. She was able to go home and enjoy her puppy, enjoy being outside and enjoy "running, running, running". We had so much fun and I will forever cherish those memories playing hide & seek outside, going to the park and reading more books than I can count. Her love for life was infectious. In December of 2014, right before her third birthday, Taylor began to have headaches and her Momma knew something wasn't right. On December 15th she was readmitted to Minneapolis Children's Hospital as the Leukemia had returned. Once again we watched this amazing little girl fight every single moment until she took her last breath on the evening of 2/11/2015 as she gained her angel wings. She has left an indelible mark on this world and she is missed beyond words.
I am walking for Taylor Grace. Children should not have to fight these battles and Childhood Cancer research needs to be at the forefront of the medical field.
I am participating in this year's event to raise funds for children's cancer and with your help, I can surpass my fundraising goal! Pleasmake a donation and make a difference in the lives of the 43 children diagnosed with cancer each day.
The CureSearch Walk honors and celebrates children whose lives have been affected by children's cancer. The money I raise will support CureSearch for Children's Cancer, a non-profit foundation whose mission is to fund and support targeted and innovative children's cancer research, with measurable results. In addition, they are the authoritative source for information resources about children's cancer for families and their support systems.
Five of the 43 children diagnosed every day do not survive. Please, support me as I participate in the CureSearch Walk, and help change the odds for those children most at risk.
