I'm Walking to End Children's Cancer

My cousin & his family including Owen. My soul sister on my left.
I need your support. I'm going to participate in a 1 mile walk in Charlottesville called on the CureSearch Walk on September 28th in order raise awareness but more importantly money to fund children's cancer research.
Why?
- For Owen - because the knowledge that 43 children are diagnosed each day or that 1 out of 8 will lose their battle are just statistics. Behind the numbers are real people like my cousin Scott and his wife Gwen who lost their young son, Owen, this year.
- For Alexis - most children who survive will suffer long-term side effects from treatment. While I'm glad someone is my height I know the side effects of treatment go far beyond simply stunting my sister-n-law's growth.
- For all our sons and daughters - in the last 20 years, only four cancer treatments have been specifically developed and approved for children.
Donations will support CureSearch for Children's Cancer which is a national non-profit who mission is to end children's cancer.
By supporting CureSearch, you're helping to find new, less-toxic treatments for the children who need them most. You can learn more at www.curesearch.org.
Thank you for your support!
