About the Pacific Crest Trail Event

We're excited to be back on the Pacific Crest Trail in 2021! Join us for 27 miles on the westernmost trail of Hiking's Triple Crown. Our home base will be Big Bear Lake California, where the town itself is worth the trip! Train in one of our official training cities, or train on your own and head west to join us for this perfect destination adventure. You'll have to travel to 10,000 feet for the adventure, but elevation gain/loss on the actual trail puts it right in the middle of our hikes difficulty-wise.

What's Included In My Experience?

Ultimate Hike is more than a hike - it's a weekend adventure, an achievement of a lifetime and a chance to find cures for cancer's youngest fighters.

Included in your Ultimate Hike Adventure:

  • Expert in person or virtual coaching for all experience levels. Our 12 week training program begins June 19.
  • 2 night's lodging
  • Pasta Party
  • Fully stocked aid stations with plenty of food, water and support
  • Victory Reception
  • Ultimate Hike swag bag with T-shirt
  • Awards Breakfast
  • Transportation to and from the trail
  • Lifelong memories and the opportunity to tell children's cancer to take a hike!

Your Fundraising Goal

Each Ultimate Hiker raises a minimum of $2,500 for lifesaving children's cancer research. Never fundraised before? Don't worry! We provide the tools and personal support you need to reach your goals. There is a $100 registration fee to get started (which counts towards your fundraising goal!) and then hikers have until August 9 to try out the training and fundraising before committing to the fundraising requirement. Hikers will then have until November 1 to reach their minimum fundraising commitment, but most hikers reach their fundraising goal by the end of hike weekend! It's hard to capture the weekend in words, so we recommend you check out our hike weekend video!
