About the Ultimate Hike

Harlan's Heroes and CureSearch are teaming up with Baxter Trails to tell children's cancer to take a hike, and you can join us! Grab your friends and family members and register your team for the largest volunteer planned CureSearch Hike in the United States! To participate, each team member will pay a $50 non-refundable registration fee and will be asked to raise at least $500 for life-saving childhood cancer research.

Hikers will receive access to Ultimate Hike's fundraising and training portal, an industry leading collection of resources that will help you reach your goals, as well as support from local Ultimate Hike Alumni and incentives for reaching fundraising goals.

Hike Details

Hikers are encouraged to form teams, and must hike with others - no person is allowed to hike alone. The $500 is raised through your official Hike website, and all funds are donated to CureSearch to help end children's cancer. Hikers will carry all needed items with them on the hike, which may include bug spray, sunscreen, EPI pen or other medications, water, snacks, socks, etc. Hikers are also encouraged to carry their cell phones for safety.

Registration opens at 7 a.m. on Hike Day, with the slowest hikers starting hiking at 8 a.m. Hikers will be required to wear a provided wrist band to identify themselves, and complete the course within five hours. Registration will close on Thursday, September 12th at 11:59 p.m.

Note: Hikers must be 18 years old by 9/14/19, or 14 years old if joined by a parent or guardian.
